Think of the files as virtual tapes, if you are familiar with backup tapes. <br />What is important is to understand the concepts behind Bareos. What is a Director? What is a File Daemon? and What is a Storage Daemon.. also understand that a single PC/server can be all of those or a combination.<br />I'm not a big CentOS 7 user because it doesn't have things set up properly like CentOS 6. I recommend Oracle Linux 7 which is like CentOS, that is it uses RedHat sources, but they guys at Oracle put in some work to make it enterprise ready.
